Our annual National Ride2Work Day Breakfast is on again, Wednesday 18th of October, and following the popularity of last year, we’re again having a RideHomeFromWork Celebration! Yes, we know many of you you ride to work almost every day – so do we. So why not celebrate with us for breakfast, or a drink on your way home?
From 7am, we’ll be serving treats and artisan coffee from our friends at the newly revamped Park Street cafe (located directly behind Velo). For a donation to Bikes For Humanity you can have your fill. Bike For Humanity refurbish old bikes that would otherwise be thrown away and sends them around the world to people who need them. We’ll also be providing safety checks, and will have discounted bike goods from our store, as well as from some of our supplier friends for brands such as Jamis and Rocky Mountain bikes, Schwalbe tyres, FinishLine lubes and the crew from ABUS will be demonstrating how easy it is to cut a cheap lock! Here’s the Facebook event.
We’re mindful of how many of you ride in and out from work each and every day, so we also want to celebrate that when you may have a little more free time than the morning rush. So, from 4:30pm until close we’re again having a little celebration. Stop through for some tasty treats, and/or a beer from our friends at Moon Dog Brewing (or soft drink). Again, only a donation to Bikes For Humanity required. Tell your friends on Facebook to meet you there!
At either event, like us and check in and you’ll be in the running for a brand new Velo Carlton bike, or a Coros LINX Smart Helmet.
