Andy’s Custom Curve GMX | Velo Cycles Melbourne

Here at Velo cycles, our bread and butter is egalitarian transport, commuter and touring bikes for all. That being said, we’re bike nerds and always like a bit of bling, so when Andy came in and had an extensive chat with our head mechanic Liam about bikes and more, we knew that an exciting opportunity awaited all around. Being entrenched within our community, we also love to support the local organisations and businesses. One we’ve admired since their inception for their designs and approaches is Curve Cycling based in Northcote. Steve, Jesse and Adam have been doing great stuff in the bike world for some time now, with a great ethos for open and welcoming adventures, which is reflected with their involvement in the ground breaking Indian-Pacific Wheel Race.

So with these two elements came together, the perfect opportunity arose for us to get a great company on board, and provide and amazing steed for Andy. We’re pleased to present the Curve Titanium GMX Adventure Bike, an omniterra machine that takes the newest technologies and design from the bike world, and places them on a bike that will give the desire for adventure with a grin.

The bike features:

  • Titanium Frame with Carbon Fork for all day comfort and exciting ride
  • ‘All terrain, get lost geometry’
  • 29 x 2.4 tyre clearance
  • Eyelets for anything cages everywhere
  • Thru Axles front and rear
  • Titanium Seatpost

To complete the build Andy donated his old Bike, and we transferred the parts across, but not before we added some of Curve’s outstanding carbon hoops (as ridden by Jesse in his successful TransAm tilt), topped with some Maxxis rubber. We’re really pleased with how the bike turned out, and can’t wait to see what it can do.  Enjoy Andy!
